Arcano Superiore Castle appears to us in its most recent reconstruction of the XIII century.
Towers, merlons, the mighty walls and the keep are associated with late Romanesque mullioned windows.
Valuable frescoes and special finishes complete the interiors.
Originally the castle stood near San Mauro little church, but for defensive and strategic reasons it was later rebuilt in the place where it still stands today.
Today the castle can be visited and it is contiguous to a wine producing farm.
